What is cocktail attire?

Cocktail attire is a polished and stylish dress code suitable for semi-formal events. For women, this usually means knee-length dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or dressy separates paired with heels or dressy flats. Men should wear a dark suit with a tie, a dress shirt, and dress shoes. The goal is a sophisticated look that’s more formal than business casual but not as formal as black-tie—think stylish, refined, and ready for a festive evening!

Will there be an open bar?

We’ll have an open bar for part of the evening, followed by a cash bar—so bring some cash if you’d like more drinks. And don’t forget to tip the bartenders!

Are children able to attend?

We love your children, but this is an adult-only celebration!

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Yes! Join us for a skate night and tailgate at the Stowe Skate Arena! Be sure to dress warmly, grab a pair of skates, and feel free to bring your own drinks. We’ll have some light snacks to enjoy, too! Friday, September 19th Time: 7-9 PM

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like! If you post on social media, don’t forget to use the hashtag #moedown2025.

Does my significant other need to RSVP?

Yes! Each invited guest should fill out and submit their own RSVP form.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

We would love our guests to complement the earthy tones of our wedding. This means try to refrain from bright colors, and go for more natural muted tones!

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive and gather on the Inn's front porch no later than 4:45 PM.

Is there parking?

Yes, but limited. We recommend walking, scheduling a taxi, or carpooling!

What is the weather in Stowe?

September in Stowe, Vermont, brings the first hints of cozy fall weather! Early in the month, daytime temps hover around a lovely 70–75°F, perfect for exploring outdoors without the summer heat. As the month goes on, days cool to the 60s, and evenings get crisp, often dipping into the 40s—ideal for bundling up in your favorite sweater. Plus, by late September, you might catch the early colors of autumn starting to brighten up the trees!
